Working group Experimental Endocrinology (ExpEndo)

Informationen in Deutsch:
Sektion Experimentelle Endokrinologie

The working group Experimental Endocrinology focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms that govern endocrine functions in both normal physiological conditions and in disease states. To explore the cellular pathways of endocrinological processes, researchers employ various models, including mice, cell culture and computational simulations. The working group does not concentrate on specific endocrine models; but rather, it focuses on methods and technologies that elucidate endocrinological pathways to improve translation into clinical application.

Objectives

The primary goal of the Working Group Experimental Endocrinology within the German Society of Endocrinology (DGE) is to establish a collaborative platform for experimental scientists. This group strives to enhance collaboration between experimental researchers and clinicians to uncover the mechanisms of endocrine disorders. One of the key objectives is to accelerate the translation of experimental discoveries into clinical practice through robust partnerships between basic scientists and clinicians.

Furthermore, the working group will organize informational events focused on experimental models and emerging technologies relevant to endocrine research.

All DGE members are encouraged to engage actively in shaping the field of experimental endocrinology.
